Pill risk for later (pregnancy)?

My wife has been taking the pill for a year now, and our friends and family keep telling us to stop because my wife might have problems getting pregnant later. Even a nurse (who's been in the service for over 20 years) says so. Is there any truth to this?

I honestly don’t know, and I don’t know any statistics. But I can imagine a couple getting to know each other at 25, or 30 years, and (still) don’t want children. Later, with 35, 37, 39, maybe. Then the probability of getting pregnant is less than 20 years. That would be the case if she didn’t take the pill.

No, please don’t believe the usual horror fairies!

If you have a child’s wish, your wife can put off the pill at any time and she will be – quite normal – fertile and can get pregnant.

Depending on how long it takes the pill, it can take a while until a normal cycle has set and you get pregnable. This can be regular at once, but this can also take time (maximum 2 years) but this is individual for every woman.

If it’s done, just let the gyn get together.

Long-term problems with fertility usually do not exist.

Hello

The pill only makes infertile as long as you take it. If the pill is put off, the woman can get pregnant even after years of pill intake.

It can only take different lengths after shedding until a woman gets pregnant again. This can be done within 2 weeks, but can also take a few months.
