Pill cycle shortened?

I accidentally dropped and lost one of my pills. So I took the next day's pill and will continue to do so. However, my cycle is now shortened by one day, so I'll take the break pill a day earlier. Is this a problem? My gynecologist couldn't help me, and the package insert didn't list any precautions for such cases.

In principle, in a conventional micropille (combination pill with two active ingredients), you can easily move the medically unnecessary pause without any loss of protection; prefer (after at least 14 pill days), move backwards, shorten or even drop out completely (long-term cycle).

Only do not extend – so maximum (usually) 7 days without taking!

It doesn’t matter if you take 14, 16, 21, 25, 28, 42, 50, 77 or 100 pills consecutively or the break takes one, three, six or seven days.

measures for such cases were not listed in the package leaflet.

These possibilities arise from the information under“You forgot 1 film tablet in week 3”andMoving the monthly bleeding:’andChange the first day of your monthly bleeding:’

Happy for you!

No, usually something like that is not a problem. You just can’t take the break now for a day, otherwise the protection would be gone.
