Piko on Märklin layout?

So I have the following question. I have a Märklin H0 digital layout (track C) with the Mobile Station 2 and now I have an electric locomotive BR 185 DB AG VI (AC version) from Piko to I'm wondering if they're even designed for the three-wire system, ie, if they have a pickup shoe? I'd also like to buy a DB AG V 1st class IC open-plan car and a DB AG V 2nd class IC open-plan car, both of which are designed for direct current. Do I need to swap the axles, or will it work as is? (I don't have signaling tracks, so insulating the axles wouldn't be a problem.)

The AC version is of course fully operationally equipped, with grinders, decoders and everything that belongs to it.

The problem is that not from Mätrix comes only the Märklin short clutch. It builds too high and does not fit under the buffers in the coupled state for other manufacturers. Märklin has raised the buffer half a millimeter for its stupid coupling. Other manufacturers do not change the buffers for AC versions, as this clutch does not fit. Recently, however, there is also a flatter version of this clutch, so that in most models there are no problems.

In the past, it was completely normal that traders exchanged the wheelsets for free on request. This is no longer so natural today. However, questions can be worthwhile, in stationary trading it is often offered, sometimes in online trading. Otherwise, just try out if the DC gear sets are safe.

The Piko Lok in the AC version naturally has a grinder and also works on the Märklin digital system. What you read so generally, the Piko sound decoders do not show much, very many therefore buy the analog DC version and rebuild them with the grinder and ESU-Lok sound decoder itself. On K and C tracks, there are hardly any problems with DC cars, possibly still on double cross-switches and slender arc-switches. Try it first or ask if the dealer might exchange the axles for free. Piko exchange axles are very expensive, very good and inexpensive wheelsets are available here:

Why actually on the slender bow diverter? What bock did Märklin shoot? They would have to be safer to go through than narrow soft radii.

I don't know.

Hello Kieferstern

Piko's AC loco has a grinder and also suitable wheels for the Märklin wear. You just have to make sure she has a decoder.

With the cars it could be that you have problems on the switch, then you need replacement gear sets
