Piaggio scooter not running properly?
My scooter, built in 2004, doesn't run properly anymore. It often stalls when stationary and doesn't respond properly to low throttle. It does respond to high throttle, though. I just replaced the broken alternator and ignition coil. It can't be the e-choke; I took it out last week along with the entire carburetor. I cleaned the carburetor and tested the e-choke. It worked… now, since it's new, it doesn't respond properly to light throttle and stalls when stationary. I've also already turned the idle throttle up a bit, to no avail.
It could be that the spark plugs no longer work properly. Try to check and replace the spark plugs if necessary. If the problem remains, it could be that the carburetor is not set correctly. Check the carburetor settings and set them according to the instructions in the user manual. If the problem continues to exist, it could be that the carburetor no longer has to function properly and be replaced.
