Physics help with the worksheet?

Hey,

I wanted to ask if someone could help me with the following tasks.

1. Are the following movements uniform? Explain each one.

a) A skier swings down a mountain.

b) Food moves on a conveyor belt/checkout belt.

c) A long jumper takes off.

2. Lukas claims: "A body moves uniformly if it travels the same distance in the same time." Julia, on the other hand, claims: "Nonsense. It's enough if the speed remains constant." –> Evaluate the statements!

Thanks in advance. 🙂

No, he keeps braking and accelerating

Yes, the movement is uniform

No, he accelerates in the air to parabolic shape

Lukas is right, because one can also experience constant acceleration on a circular path, in which v does not change, since the kinetic energy remains the same. However, a path is a vectorial variable, thus excludes circular movements.

b) Depends on what time you look at the whole. When the cashier brings the cashier to run, the system begins to accelerate. A constant movement is only given for a short period of time. Then it's slowing down. A bit too late for the answer….

That's right! I guess I was just thinking about the constant movement, not about the customer's operation. Anyway, I don't understand my answer 100%.
