Plant wilting?

Hello,

If a plant doesn't get enough water from the soil, does it close its stomata to prevent as much water from evaporating? This would also eliminate the suction needed to absorb water from the soil?

Extract:

So that a stoma is not constantly open and the whole water of the plant evaporates, there is Closing cells. They surround the stomata and are responsible for opening and closing the pores.
