Photograph a horse galloping?

Heyy,

So, I'm going to the stables with my girlfriend tomorrow; we want to take a photo of ourselves galloping. I'm just a little unsure about the right setting. Does anyone have any tips?

(We want to take the photos on the square)

Because the color of the horses probably also plays a role:

Mine is a Fjord horse

And hers is a dark grey/ black

Make series recording, then there are beautiful pictures.

If the settings are wrong, there is not a single good picture in series recording.

… and you can have the complete series at the wrong moment. Better a clean shot after hearing. You have to learn.

What are you doing the photos?

For good pictures it takes cameras, and then: aperture on, exposure time short.

Canon EFS 18-55mm

Tamron 28-300mm

depending on distance.

The canon can be forgotten as horses are simply too long to depict them undistorted in wide angles. Burning distances from 200 will be reasonable, but whether that will return the place? Well, there’s something like Photoshop and Affinity Photo, something can be done.

photograph each other while riding? forget it!

reasonable results can only be obtained if the photographer stands and with serial images (release button hold down) “withdraws” the horse riding past, i.e. the camera moves.

put the autofocus on tracking.

with luck among the 10-20 recordings is a successful one.

You can do this without autofocus, yet with serial image. You’re looking for the point on the train where you want the horse sharp. You set this manually and a few meters in front of this point you give permanent fire with serial image.

The 450D isn’t really super fast, but if you enjoy the experiment, go. Once with autofocus, once without.

The mode is called row recording, page 63 of the instructions: https://files.canon-europe.com/files/soft31343/Manual/CUG_EOS450D_DE_Flat.pdf

Record a video as you galloped. Then you can also watch the video and usually give it a function that you the Video Images [Screenshots can do]

You can forget the result. If it is not a high-speed camera with at least 1000 FPS, the image becomes extremely blurred.

Blend, exposure time short.
