Period despite breastfeeding and taking the pill, is that possible?

So I had my daughter about 4 months ago and everything was fine. I didn't get my period because I was breastfeeding. Then about 2 weeks ago I started using the breastfeeding pill Destrogestrel.

Well, I'm bleeding now, but the problem is that I'm taking the pill and breastfeeding. Is that possible?
Today no gynecologist is open in my area. I hope you can help me.

Please don't make fun of me. I had the 3-month injection for years and only recently started taking the pill again, so I don't really know much about it anymore. 🙂

Hello, tja…, when using a mini pill/”still pill” (only gesstag) there is a known and, unfortunately, repeatedly occurring problem: bleeding instability.

It’s very annoying, but nothing really bad. Prevention protection can weaken intermediate bleeding, and nothing else should be yours, at least NOT. – Many regards, Imke =)

Sensual. But earlier you did not take any (estrogen-free) “Still pill”. ;

After distilling, I would advise you to a reasonably dosed maxipille (combined estrogen/stag combination preparation), then also in the long cycle. Continuous bleeding should be your past! – Despite all a beautiful weekend, greeting Imke =)

In the case of an estrogen-free pill, which is taken without a break, a menstruation-like eruption/hormone withdrawal bleeding is eliminated, which (as the name suggests) occurs only because the hormone supply is interrupted in the hormone-free pause.

However, all medicines can also have an estrogen-free pill side effects, which however do not have to arrive at everyone.

The most commonly reported side effects in clinical trials were bleeding disorders.

Since estrogen is lacking in estrogen-free pills (which is responsible for the cycle stability), irregular vaginal bleeding can occur.

Isn’t anyone reading the package leaf?

Certainly you can also find your pill (e.g. Desogestrel Aristo®) under 4. “What side effects are possible?”:

During the intake of Desogestrel Aristo®, irregular vaginal bleeding can occur. This can only be light lubrication bleeding, which does not even require an insert, or stronger bleeding which resemble a slight control bleeding and require hygienic protection. The bleeding can also be omitted from you. The irregular bleeding is not an indication of a reduced contraceptive effect of Desogestrel Aristo®. In general, you don’t have to do anything; simply proceed with taking Desogestrel Aristo®.

Happy for you!

Was it a proper bleeding like during the period or just a lubricating bleeding?
