Period longer during IUD?

Hey, I hope someone can help me with this because it's really starting to worry me and get on my nerves.

I had the Kyleen coil inserted over a year ago. Since then, I've had my period every 2-2.5 weeks. It varies between 10-16 days. All I read is that I should hardly have it anymore, or not at all.

I've already asked my gynecologist, but he just said it has nothing to do with the IUD, and Google only gave answers about the first 3-6 months after insertion.

Could someone please tell me if this is normal, if I should have it removed or am I one of the exceptions where my period is like this.

"I shouldn't have them any more or no more."

That's nonsense, it's time to be regular again. Why shouldn't you have your days or hardly have it?

That the bleeding with a spiral lasts longer is not uncommon because the blood sometimes has to squeeze "more through" (sensually I cannot describe it now, it can slow down the flow. Or even strengthen others)

This is actually a "risk" about which your doctor should have told you
