PC warns against running or downloading the Lexar DiskMaster software – Concernful?

Hey,

My PC warns me not to download this software because it could potentially harm my PC.

So should I not install the software?

Well, any unknown antivirus programs report in it a KI suspected malware W32.AIDetectMalware (Bkav Pro) or anything with Malicious.moderate.ml.score (Trapmine). You don’t have to give it much. You can install the program quietly.

But what’s really annoying is that you can’t just download the stuff! You have to enter your name and email address beforehand!

What a stupid shit, Lexar! Get out of here! Before we email the download! I want downloadLike elsewhere, so stop with this bullshit!

After installation, you can check your Lexar SSD and do different things with it, firmware upgrades, performance testing etc.

if you want a virus please- but if a warning comes away more fingers

Do you have lexar hardware? Some software is ‘powerful’, it must intervene in the data structure of the data carrier (e.g. repair). Then there is a warning, as this also represents an attack vector.

Yeah, but you got Lexar’s hardware? Or do you need Diskmaster?

I don’t know, my search engine just found…

Then you didn’t really inform you. The answer is wrong because you never install things with third-party providers and that for various reasons. Always right from the source.

Before I download something I inform myself, and my answer here is not in principle wrong.

Your search engines find some, including malware and bloatware. Just because your search engine finds it is not safe and good. Or do you think everything you can find on the street is unthinkable?
