PC freezes and has to restart with a button?
My pc specs are
– MSI RTX 4080 SUPRIM X
– Ryzen 7 7800x3d
– MSI Tomahawk B650
– Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16GB DDR5 6000
For months now, I've been having this problem where my PC randomly freezes. Could it be the RAM? I recently had the exact same problem at work. It was the RAM. I've now bought the same RAM again to test it out, and I hope it works now.
what does the Win event display say? you look in
then you update the BIOS and reconfigure it (must be forcedly)
also keep W10 on the current system build and also the chipset driver (from the AMD page and do not rely on the outdated versions via the MS update)
and what I’m asking now: is the RAM after EXPO overclocked or after XMP? if after XMP then we’ve already found the error: throw out and get EXPO-RAM in
In the event display I find nothing but an unexpected restart. Overclocked I got him to Expo
well, then patch your W10 to the current system build, see if the BIOS is on the current version and then update the chipset driver and throw any tuning tools off the computer.
You can guess and cause a coincidence or simply view the event display after error messages and use the information contained in it (event ID, source and description) to limit the cause(s) and then fix it more specifically.
Did you preview whether the RAM is in the mainboard storage support list (with the built-in processor) or recommended by the RAM manufacturer for the board with your processor?
It makes quite little sense to buy storage (and not only twice) if it does not get green light from at least one of the two manufacturers – then it should be clear that there must be compatibility problems here.
The ram is recommended for the motherboard and CPU. And there’s nothing in the event
But can also be that I look wrong
It is frustrating that your PC freezes. Possible causes could be RAM problems, especially if you have had similar experiences. Outdated or incompatible drivers, overheating of components, insufficient or defective power supply and software conflicts can also lead to freezes. A faulty hard drive or SSD could also cause the problem. If the new RAM does not help, test the hardware step by step to limit the cause. A lot of success in the Troubleshooting!
Hello,
check the Windows event display. Since then, above all, analyse the period for which the PC is freezed.
