PC doesn't want Ethernet anymore?

I got a PC yesterday, and everything was working fine. I wanted to use Ethernet to transfer data, but it didn't work, so I reset all the settings. Now it just says "The Ethernet cable is not connected," but the adapter is recognized.

Tried all commands, reinstalled drivers etc, nothing works

USB tethering via mobile phone works and is also recognized as Ethernet

have you ever looked at whether the LED lights at the port? if there is no green LED as soon as a cable is plugged, can assume that the port is over
