Mainboard: ASRock B45M STEEL LEGEND AM4 m-ATX
Grafikkarte: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
Netzteil: OCZ StealthXStream 2 700W
Prozessor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X Prozessor
Arbeitsspeicher: 2 x 8B RAM (glaube G-SKill Aegis)
Was ich bereits versucht habe:
-M2 SSD umtauschen lassen gegen eine von neue Crucial geprüfte SSD.
-Mehrmals neu installiert.
-Geprüft, ob die SSD mit meinem PC kompatibel ist.
-PC booten ohne die HDDs, sprich nur die M2 SSD
-CSM (Compatibility Support Module) im Bootmenü deaktivieren
Ich bräuchte hier dringend Hilfe.
Für weitere Angaben einfach fragen.
Hello
That’s not true. In the lower M.2 slot, no M.2 PCIe SSD’s are supported, but only M.2 SATA SSD’s. At least this says the specification for the motherboard:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/b450m%20steel%20legend/#Specification
A M.2 PCIe SSD should not work in this slot. In addition, this slot divides the SATA Lanes with the SAT3_3 port, so that it is deactivated when an M.2 SATA SSD is used in the lower M.2 slot. A HDD/SSD connected to the SATA3_3 port would then have to be connected to another SATA port.
The first/upper M.2 slot is connected directly to the processor with 2 or 4 PCIe Lanes. Depending on the processor, this can therefore be a PCIe 3.0 x2 or x4 connection.
In this M.2 slot, your Crucial P3 M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD should work. M.2 SATA SSD’s are not supported/functional in this slot.
If Windows is to start from the M.2 SSD, you need to install Windows on the M.2 SSD. Take off HHD’s for security reasons. If after the Windows installation on the M.2 SSD, with reconnected SATA HDD’s, the PC no longer bootes from the M.2 SSD, but again from the old HDD, then the boot order must be reset in the BIOS.

all out and make a Bios update.
when you restore the “old” state everything goes?
I’ll try a bios update if I know how to do it. What do you mean old?
It’s all back on an old one when he booted.
PS: I don’t want to interfere anymore because no warning. But experience report: if you connect a plate on the AUCH is a windows, the pc does not know what to boot and does not offer a choice. if you have on the main plate win7 and win10 he offers you choice what you want to boot. if you have win7 on a plate and on another win10 he doesn’t know what to do.
as before was the original state
and memory only the 4er goes into your mainboard and no 3er. Then I imagine the mainboard won’t be clear with M2.
Oh, if you think I’d have to make sure everything first.
The only thing I remember would be Bio’s update.
I’ll see if I can update
I’m not the expert about compatibility, but the description of the M.2 panel says: Interface: PCIe 4.0 x4 and such an interface does not have your board (https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M%20Steel%20Legend/). This probably only supports: 1 Ultra M.2 (PCIe) Gen3 x4), 1 M.2 (SATA3).
PCIe is fully up and down compatible.
Hello,
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?
Mf
Yes I solved it by a BIOS update. I have the tip and many more tips I have received from another forum. The post: https://www.computerbase.de/forum/threads/crucial-m2-ssd-wird-not-recognition.21108/page-3#post-27683080
