Well, stupidly you say now, at the time, you have first deliberately logged in with wrong data and secondly you are happy that the deception has succeeded you. That you’re trying to correct this today shows that you’re not stupid, but you knew exactly what’s happening.

You have violated the rules of the system all the time and only because it seems to have expired without any problems, it will not be right.

And now it’s just a matter of time until you get up and then you’ll learn that the violation of rules has its consequences and that’s right, I can’t regret you.

If I were you, I would close the account now and not do anything for a few weeks. And if you are full-year with new email and new IBAN try to open a new PayPal account with correct data this time. Whether this will work on the check routines at PayPal. And if not… then that’s the price for your deception that’s being cashed. 🤷

It wasn’t just stupid, it was a crime. Just to make this clear to you.

And no, the support doesn’t change it, but locks you life-time when it comes out.

Be glad that Paypal is still too laborious to show such scams and they are not legally obliged to do so as an international bank.

And before you listen to the one comment here: simply opening a new account is the next violation of their GTC.

Therefore close the old account, as Paypal is a bank, the data will still remain stored for 10 years. And say goodbye to the use of this payment option, as you’ve blew it yourself. Learn from it for the future that actions have consequences.

To the new account: You would have to offer PayPal completely different data.
If you had moved, and had another bank account, it might work – but where all data are the same is certainly not.

But comfort yourself, with a credit card you can pay wherever you can pay with PayPal.

No, it’ll lead to a lock. Right.

No. As you give the support a new date of birth, you can prove that you have violated the AGB and escape.

Just create a new account and close the old one. The same IBAN will be a problem, but you could use another bank account or credit card for billing.

I know it was stupid

Yep, it was.
