PayPal 30 days – How does it work to exchange goods?
Hello,
I ordered a shirt that was too small. Now I want to exchange it for a size larger. I've already spoken to the retailer, and they said they'd still do an exchange as a gesture of goodwill. Since I ordered it in December,
PayPal payment completed after 30 days and then extended – meaning I won't pay until March.
The retailer said I'd have to reorder the shirt. But to avoid paying, I'd have to select 30 days again. What happens to the first payment? Will the payment I selected (i.e., the new shirt) be automatically canceled once the returned shirt arrives at the retailer? Will the retailer notify PayPal?
I can't find anything about this in PayPal's help section.
For the dealer and for PayPal, these are two processes.
Buy first shirt – 30 days payment destination – send shirt back.
Money is reimbursed to PayPal so that (after credit has been made), there is no longer any obligation to pay the first purchase after 30 days. If the dealer hesitates, or if you send the first shirt back too late, it can be that PP also takes the first bank entry to the due date.
You order the right shirt at the then current price – new payment process with PayPal – and then pay when this second invoice is due.
If PP also offers you 30 days during the second purchase, you will see.
Don’t have to be like that.
Two shirts, two x pay.
One is canceled so the money comes back to PP account. Whether the cancellation now has an influence on the 30 days credit surely also depends on the period.
It’s safe to get back.
