Pay on the bus with a 100€ note?
Hey,
My question is whether I can pay on the bus with a 100€ note.
I have to buy a monthly ticket for vocational school tomorrow, which costs €105.10.
Unfortunately, I only have a €100 note here. Will the bus driver accept one? Sure, I couldn't use it to pay for a €3 fare, but what if I have to pay even more than the €100 note?
Is that possible, or will he not take it?
In general, the AGB states that you should keep matching small money. 100 euros may be a bite if you want to get to the bus at 7.30 a.m.
I.d.R., the monthly cards are also valid for the first working day of the following month, in order to allow the “customer” to the customer center. They are also valid for the first working day of the previous month.
Unfortunately, you don’t say where you drive, and you can only speculate accordingly. In many connections, a monthly ticket is not available to the bus driver.

If you want to buy a monthly ticket for over 100 Euros and pay with a 100 Euro bill, you can accept the 100 Euro bill. He doesn’t have to. Personally, I would do it, I bought a marker that uncovers false money. However, if you want to solve a single trip, it will accept up to 20 euros without puffing. From the 50 Euros, however, probably say something. It always excites me when my passengers come to me, take a ride for 1.90 but dance with a 50 euro mark. Bus drivers aren’t automatic.
If you have the remaining 5,10€, it should actually go with the 100€ bill.
The fact that the riders don’t take big bills is the change that might be missing. Since the monthly card costs over 100€, it should be done.
I have the remaining 5,10€ exactly fitting, but maybe they are also afraid of false money.
I’d definitely try it! But I always think it’s up to the driver!
normally, they don’t have to be more gruesome than 10€
Even 10 euros are not. Most of the time, it’s the right amount of money.
