depending on what a maus. Mice with bluetooth logically need a Bluetooth capable laptop. If it’s mine with cable, it’s probably usb a (i.e. the standart big usb). but there are also those with usb c. for this, you then need an usb c slot. It’s not up to the age. (there are wireless mice with usb a stick. the mice have no cable, but a connection to the usb a stick. in these the laptop thinks it would be a maus with cable that it is not.(the wireless mice with bluetooth need longer until they react.))

Jo as long as the mouse has a normal USB port already normally.

If your laptop has a USB-A connection can customarily fit any mouse into it.

if the mouse will be wireless, still have to have a USB port on the laptop.

So see what the laptop has free at ports.

Yes, a mouse you plug in via USB cable, so every mouse you will buy fits.
