Passt eine SSD mit NVMe auf dieses Mainboard?
Hallo Freunde,
ich liebäugle mit diesem Mainboard:
GIGABYTE B760M DS3H DDR4 mit Intel B760 Express Chipsatz
mit folgenden Eigenschaften:
– 1x PCI-Express 4.0/3.0 x16 Steckplatz (x16-Mode)
– 2x PCI-Express 3.0 x16 Steckplatz (x1-Mode)
– 4x SATA3 (6GB/s) Anschlüsse mit Raid 0, 1, 5 und 10 Unterstützung
– 2x M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4/x2 Connectoren (M-Key, Typ 2280 SATA)
Soweit, so gut.
Sounds like the upper one with PCI 4.0 hangs on 4 lanes and the lower one hangs on PCI 4.0 with only 2 lanes (PCI 4.0 at half speed – PCI 3.0).

For God’s sake. I’m confused. That means I can still connect an SSD with NVMe to PCI 4.0 and use the full speed?
At the top slot yes… Full speed.
The lower one has about half…
It’s better not. But there would still be the CPU
Yes, video cut in 4k counts for you as ” everyday”?
Correct. And again. You don’t notice that every day.
500mb/s are just as fast in everyday life.(and your second could be 3 times)
Wait a minute, a novice question: So I also need to buy a PCI 4.0 SSD for the PCI 4.0 slot so I can use the full speed, correct?
These are PCI 3.0 plates.
So in the top you should reach 3500mb/s ca and in the bottom 1750mb/s.
does not occur in everyday life, so you do not notice any difference
The Samsung MZ-V7E1T0BW 970 EVO 1 TB NVMe M.2
What are you doing in there?
Oha, hopefully I’m not going to miss something in the wrong slot.
Hello,
Yes.
One (or two) M.2 NVMe 4.0 1TB, put in and look forward.
Example:
SAMSUNG 980 PRO:
Costs less than an older 970 and can be twice as fast.

For no 80,-€, this is so cheap.

2x M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 is the keyword here. This is the connection for the nvme. The 16x connectors are for GPUs
Do you mean 2x M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4/x2 connectors (M-Key, type 2280 SATA)? I’m just wondering what the SATA should mean?
The name is a little misleading. The fact remains that you can build two M.2 ssds gen4 or 3
