Yes the weight plays a role as it becomes too heavy for you, rod and roller should be matched to each other.

I wouldn’t even pack a 4000 roll on a 21-56g rod. 6G bait weight would be the choice of a rod with 1-7 or better 3-14g rod and there is a role of size 500 – 1500 – depending on size, is not quite standard and no more.

And if you cling to such a light and fine rod, that’s not a good vote and is not fun. The fishing alone is no longer balanced and unnecessarily heavy.
