Ich kenne die Sperrmöglichkeiten von Apple nicht. Aber rein von der Theorie her, kann die IMEI des Gerätes gesperrt werden und es ist dann unbrauchbar.

Nein, die IMEI steht dem Absender zur Verfügung, dieser meldet den Verlust an Apple, diese sperren die IMEI.

Wegen einem iPhone macht sich niemand die Mühe einer Ortung oder Sperrung.
Die Sendung ging verloren, die war versichert. Der Paketdienst haftet dem Verkäufer gegenüber.
