Own Linux distro?
Hello, I have a question: Can you program your own Linux distro on Arch, and is it difficult if you know C? Thanks for the answers (and I know this sounds like I have no idea).

Is there a trick to disable those annoying Zoom notifications on Windows? I've already looked, but haven't found anything, and it's just wasting my time again. Apparently my Google calendar has been linked to Zoom, so now I always get all appointment reminders popping up on my screen. Thanks.
Good evening, I just received a MacBook as a gift and am currently setting it up. Now, after logging in with my Apple ID and trying to create a computer account, a small, colorful, rotating circle appears. What does that mean? I've only had Windows computers before… Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas! 🙂
I've been trying to get my PC fully functional for several weeks. I keep having problems with blue screens. Stop code: "Critical_Process_Died" Nvidia driver cannot be installed completely either. It also turned out that I had one of the two defective RAMs. Since then it definitely works better, but still not perfect. The minutes state:…
Do any of you use Deepin Linux, despite the possible risks and reservations?
Hello, I reset my PC with the option to delete all data and clean drives because I'm selling it. Now it's been stuck at 11% for five hours. Does anyone know if this is normal?
Yes, you would do that primarily through your own repositories that you will maintain and supplement packages.
However, if it doesn’t really make sense as long as there is no significant amount of devices that use it, it would be easier to make local changes, possibly via a tool like ansible then also on several devices.
PS: For your own software you can of course run an additional repo that provides it. In Arch would be the best way but a PKGBUILD, additional software comes in arch usually via the AUR.
Look here https://www.linuxfromscratch.org/
But I don’t see much sense in it. Too time-consuming and in the end, a self-configured arch may make more sense.
There is a suitable distro for every niche today.
but also because of even greater safety
Yes, you have to install the operating system first. Then you can download required programs and packages and insert your own code. At the end, you will create an ISO-Date with the installation wizard.
Thank you.
