Open links in the browser and not in the app (Apple)?

When I click a link on YouTube, for example, I'm asked which browser I want to use to open the link. I always select Safari, and the link opens, but not in the Safari app itself; it opens in YouTube (I don't know how to describe it, but I hope you understand what I mean).

This bothers me because I often have multiple tabs open in Safari so I can access sites I use frequently more quickly. This feature prevents me from doing this, and I'd like to disable or bypass it.

Since I couldn't find anything in the settings or on Google (and I honestly don't know what to look for), I came here. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, it’s a bit confusing. To do this, press “Default Browser App” in the selection (probably as standard browser app in German). This is the lowest option when you click on a link in YouTube.

In addition, you can press this button that asks whether you want to choose between the options or not. Then in the future it will always open Safari (or the respective standard browser).
