Opel Corsa D only daytime running lights work?
Hello everyone,
I have a problem since yesterday:
My headlights on my Opel Corsa D are no longer working properly, so I have very little visibility at night, even with the low beams on. The parking lights are also far too dim. Only my outer daytime running lights—I think that's what they're called 😀 (see picture)—work.
What makes the whole thing even stranger is that my high beams work for this. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about this online, so I thought someone might have experienced something similar and have some experience.
Thank you in advance.
Blow beams and high beams are two separate things, because usually only the filament of the low beam is burned through in the halogen bulb. In Germany we often drive with light, and you don’t realize how many hours the pears have already lit, even after 1-2 years it can be through.
If one side is through, the other side is likely to end soon, then you’re in the dark, I wouldn’t risk it, so it’s best to renew both. You get to the lamps from inside, that’s a kind of jam glass lid screw cap, then you can get the pears out by 1/4 rotation. There are usually two noses on the edge, a narrow one and a wide one, while turning in.
Never touch a halogen bulb with the hand, best with the polypropylene ring, or a dry pace, because due to the heat, any contamination burns into the halogen bulb and then you can see nothing again.
Your passing beam is broken, simple. Control illuminants and fuses, so you get closer to the solution.
