Ölkruste auf Dichtfläche entfernen?
Meine Ventildeckeldichtung war schwitzig und als ich den Deckel abnahm, wurde ich von den Sünden des Vorbesitzers überrascht: Überall Ölkruste – Wurde wohl viel Kurzstrecke gefahren oder hat die Intervalle überzogen…
An sich erstmal kein Weltuntergang, allerdings würde ich gerne wissen, wie man die hartnäckigen Rückstände auf dem doch recht weichen Zylinderkopf entfernt? Schleifpapier, Schleifwolle hinterlassen schon bei sanfter Behandlung beunruhigend tiefe Kratzer, weswegen ich das erst einmal sein gelassen habe.
Gibt es Empfehlungen für Reiniger oder mache ich mir ggf. sogar zu viele Gedanken? Ist alles nur eine sehr dünne Schicht, keine Unebenheiten.
Nicht, dass ich alles einfach nur entfette und nach kurzer Zeit schwitzt er aus alles Ritzen.

If you’re not working, you better not use metal scraper….
Please take a piece of roof, about 20 centimeters long.
That’s why you wrap a piece of 400 wet sanding paper, also called water sanding paper (construction market) to the extent that you can attach it with two or three tearing purposes on the side you want to work.
The working side of your “grinding machine” is then oiled with a few drops of engine oil.
This has the advantage that the grinding paper does not sand but the grinding dust sticks to it.
Then place the roof bar on the sealing surface in a planar manner, load it easily and uniformly with both hands and push it over the sealing surface in length.
Wipe grinding paper and sealing surface with a flap and repeat the process if necessary.

with a plastic scraper you can remove residues safely.
You just have to work meticulously, but that should work well.
It is also possible to take the coarser part of a kitchen sponge, which is also non-metallic.
