Often, oil filters cannot be released if you forget to oil the rubber seal before installation or if you override it when screwing….

Whether you can still drive with it depends on whether the oil filter is damaged because you e.g. with a pipe pliers have pressed holes into the sheet but this can be determined.

No, this is not a problem as long as the filter is still tight.

In the past, if the filter had not been released, a screwdriver was penetrated and the filter was dissolved with it, which, however, resulted in a mess.

With a reasonable oil filter key, I’ve all gotten up.

I personally prefer the parts with a leather strap placed around the filter

If there’s no hole in it, it doesn’t matter…

Get an oil filter key or take the somewhat radical screwdriver method that has to get any filter

But then you push a hole in it, so with the screwdriver method…

Completely correct but you even push the screwdriver transversely through the oil filter because it has one side, in the thin sheet, otherwise no hold….

Only if you still don’t get the oil filter solved, of course you have a problem.
