Old SIM card into new phone?

Hey people,

I bought a new phone and SIM card because my contract is ending. I still want to continue using my current phone, so I'd like to simply put the new SIM card in my current phone and use the new one next year or so. My question is, will my data (i.e., contacts, pictures, apps, etc.) from my current phone be transferred to the new one if I put the SIM card in the new phone?
ps: iphone (I hope it was understandable)

An iPhone has never stored any data on the SIM card. The SIM is just your key to mobile Internetz and allows you to call mobile. No more, no less.

You can do it naturally, but no data will be transmitted, maybe your contacts depending on how your provider makes it whether it works by phone like a cloud or directly on the physical card. But also depending on the provider whether they support it or not

Hello

Your SIM card only allows access to the mobile network. Your data will remain stored on the old iPhone. If you want to use your contacts, images and apps on the new iPhone, you need to Transfer data to your new iPhone.

Not necessarily, depending on the provider, you can also save contacts to the SIM card.

Hello Jianhao, in principle this is right. However, you cannot save contacts on the SIM card on an iPhone. And since the FS has an iPhone, this option is unnecessary.

The SIM does not store images or any apps.
