Obtain the practical part of the Fachholschulreife through work without training?
Hello everyone. I dropped out of high school after 12th grade (G9 model). This allowed me to obtain the academic qualification for a university of applied sciences. For 10 years, I've been working as a commercial clerk in a skilled trades business, but without any training.
Would this job fulfill the practical part of the Fachholschulreife (qualification for higher vocational education)?
For Baden-Württemberg:
This means that a professional activity without vocational training is not sufficient to obtain the practical part of the vocational training system.
One possibility, however, would be that your employer confirms part of your job as an internship?
In NRW I only had the subject with a school part. In my case (specialization in the field of BWL) it was possible to obtain the practical part either with a one-year internship or with an apprenticeship.
Important for the operation for the internship: At that time (2014/2015) there was the additional scheme that the leading shareholder had to have an official instructor license. There were also rules for the number of weeks.
Supplement: At that time, I could not even inform the competent Ministry of Education. My mother had telephoned up to the education minister in Berlin for several days to get the necessary information. According to my case, all education ministries in each federal state should be informed again about the respective regulations so that other pupils do not get the same problems as I do.
Tip: Write to both your school and the Ministry of Education in your country at the same time. You don't lose time. With me, the statements of my school had turned out to be wrong.
Love and good wishes to you
