Lenses for Sony Alpha 6400?
Hi!
I wanted to ask you which lenses you would recommend for horse and dog photography/videography.
The lens should be able to produce a great, blurred background (bokeh). I already own the 50mm 1.8 lens and am very happy with it!
However, it pushes me to my limits when I want to photograph an object from further away and cannot move at that moment.
I've already discovered the 70-200 2.8 lens from Sony, but it's way too expensive for me.
I appreciate your help. ^^
If you want bokeh and zoom far too, that is always expensive because you need much larger glass elements.
Alternatively, you had to look for fixed focal lengths if you want to stay below €1000.
For example:
Samyang AF 135mm 1.8 FE for Sony E from € 859.00 (2023) | Price Comparison Geizhals Germany
Viltrox AF 85mm 1.8 STM Mark II for Sony E from € 344,00 (2023) | Price Comparison Geizhals Germany
Sony FE 85mm 1.8 from € 444,00 (2023) | Price Comparison Geizhals Germany
Or you have to limit the intensity of light:
Sony E 55-210mm 4.5-6.3 OSS black from € 195,00 (2023) | Price Comparison Geizhals Germany
Sony E 70-350mm 4.5-6.3 G OSS from € 639,99 (2023) | Price Comparison Geizhals Germany
Sony FE 70-200mm 4.0 G OSS from € 899,00 (2023) | Price Comparison Geizhals Germany
If you absolutely need light intensity 2.8 there would be as an alternative to the 70-200, the Tamron 70-180, but at the Alpha 6400 the lens has no image stabilizer

or you try it with the Sel 70-200 F4 that is just half as expensive as the F2,8 version
otherwise I would personally get the SEL 70-350 G for Sony APS C that I own for my 6100 but I suspect F4,5 to F6,3 will not suffice you
If you don’t match the intensity of the light, you have to change your way. For an unsharp HG you do not need extreme light intensity.
