NVMe SSD stops working sometimes?
Hello,
My PC has a problem where the NVMe SSD sometimes (lately often in the evenings) doesn't recognize itself. There's a small light on the SSD that lights up when it's connected. This isn't the case, and I can't use it…? What's causing this, and what can I do?
It would not be known to me – and this usually wants to mean – that NVME data carriers are provided with a kind of debug LED. This also makes no sense in so far as this is usually not visibly screwed behind a cooler and/or the graphics card on the motherboard. If that’s very unusual.
At the time of the day it will certainly not lie. But you should be able to do this without any expertise. Very likely, the SSD simply has bad contact with the M.2 cut and is then not recognized. You should check if the SSD is actually installed correctly and has correct contact with the M.2 location.
Servus, thank you for your answer. The Ssd is covered with heatsink and therefore not covered, so you can see this lamp.
the ssd I have already checked several times (on contact with interface etc.), the problem still exists…
do you have other ideas about what it might be?
Thank you.
Is it not recognized on Windows or is it not recognized in the BIOS? Maybe try another interface or another system.
It is not recognized in bios or in Windows. I’ll try another interface, I’m afraid I don’t have other system at the moment.
