Nvidia driver causes PC to crash.!?
Both the older version and the current version crash the PC with the stop code "Critical_Process_Died " after rebooting.
Since the PC crashes with the older and newer version, it means that the graphics card is defective, or,
Without the driver the PC works perfectly.
4070 Super,
7 7700x
What should I do?
Yes, GPU is close first. But I find it rather unusual for a relatively new card. I’d take a look at the RAM and test it with memtest, take EXPO test and otherwise watch direction power supply.
Does the PCIe cable really fit in the GPU? Does your power supply have enough power?
Can the trigger for this stop code be?
Also my graphics card works without the driver.
Recently, it turned out that my motherboard had broken RAM slots.
Now the graphics card makes problems.
Fine. And on which card from which manufacturer is this graphics processor?
Are these drivers recommended by the KARTENHERSTELLER for this graphics card or have you downloaded them against the recommendation from the GPU manufacturer?
The 4070 Super by Asus is installed on an AsRock x870 Pro RS.
Actually, I didn’t want your second point and just installed the normal Nvidia driver.
I don’t know if it plays such a big role.
Besides, I don’t know myself like that in IT.
I thought so. Asus is one of the card manufacturers that provide customised and modified drivers for their cards. The reference drivers of AMD/NVidia do not work or only work incorrectly.
This is not the case with every map of Asus! But this practice at Asus has existed for many years.
Use the driver Asus provides for your card model. Most likely, many mistakes will remain. And if that doesn’t change, there is the possibility that the hardware has a defect.
Where can I look and install the respective drivers provided by Asus?
Because without driver the card works completely.
So it’s probably more about the driver.
