Nvidia and AMD graphics card in one system and switching between the two?
Hello, I have an AMD Radeon RX 6600 and a 1650 Super. The AMD graphics card is great for high-end games, but in some games, I feel like the AMD options are missing. Especially when it comes to competitive gaming, I need more settings. So I wanted to ask if there's a way to install both graphics cards and assign one to Warzone, for example, and the other to Fortnite.
Many thanks in advance.
Hello Salty,
It would work with dual boot as you write below, but you always have to connect the monitor to THE graphics card you want to play with.
It might even work with ONE Windows (but create an image first in case there are problems) if you install both drivers at the same time.
Shutdown: Monitor on AMD: Boot -> Gaming with AMD
Shutdown: Monitor on nVidia: Boot -> Gaming with GTX 1650
Hello,
No, that's not possible. But even with the RX 6600, you'll have plenty of customization options.

The last time I tried this was with the Vega 64 and the RTX 2080… It works with a workaround but it's not worth it. There are latency problems between the drivers and you will cripple your Windows in the long run.
Take the 6600 and sell the 1650 for an ice cream and a waffle.
CrossFire is AMD, and SLI is AMD. You can use it to bundle either two Nvidia graphics cards or two AMD cards, but not one AMD + one NVIDIA.
He doesn't want to let them run together, but rather choose between one depending on the game.
All right, thanks. Do you have any knowledge of this topic? I thought I'd set up two operating systems with dual boot, one running Nvidia and one AMD.
Unfortunately I can't help you with that, I've never really dealt with it 🥲
ok, schade vielleicht weis es jemand noch
