Powerline is often lottery. but you can do a lot to improve the chances. e.g. do not use multiple connector strips. the flexible cables, consisting of the many thin strands, act like a harmonic filter. For this reason, connections to the grounding for overvoltage arresters must be made massive!
Never put the parts in a multiple socket.
And you restarted the counter, for Powerline you always need 2 devices.
Maybe insert into a single socket instead of into a multiple plug
Try to put them directly into the wall, the powerline will do that by my knowledge about the power grid and if you do that via such an extension part, it will not be fun
