NRW ticket on the IC?
Hi, I want to study in Münster, but I live in Bochum. Can I get to Münster with the semester ticket, or do I need something else?

With the semester ticket you can only use regional trains without IC/ICE.
You should probably drive over Hamm.
If the ICE should be excluded from the ticket, you can do so on other trains
No other train departs from BO to Münster.

The search is limited only to local transport.
There are local connections.
Yeah, you're coming.
The DB says that I'm going to change to Wanne-Eickel HBF. Is ABR (probably Abellio) included in the NRW ticket?
Abellio operates RE, RB and S-Bahn lines in NRW, including all local traffic.
As far as I know everything is included except IC and ICE.
This is also about the IC
You need extra ticket for the long-distance traffic, so IC/EC ticket.
You can only use trains in local traffic with the semester ticket. (No IC/EC/ICE)
With the semester ticket NRW you can also drive to Münster, but it is only valid in local trains (RE, RB, S-Bahn), not in long distance traffic (eg IC, EC, ICE).
What does the ASTA page say?
