Is it normal for modern automatic cars to do this when you release the brake?

the car then automatically moves forward a little and especially when going uphill it doesn't roll when you drive back?

This is not only the case with modern automatic transmissions, which is a characteristic of the old converter machines, which have always transmitted a little torque in the stand. Manch modern ASGs, DSGs, hybrid drives and E drives still simulate this effect today.

If you release the brake, then the vehicle rolls, yes – that’s normal.

This has always been the automatic cars rolling forward when you do not brake and therefore never rolling down.

at the mountain you can also roll back

Calls the Startup Wizard

during the automatic it is normal that you roll forward as soon as the brake is released.
