Nominalization and when do you use through?
Now I'm learning about nominalization.
I understand that there is a difference when we use through and from ,
From – for persons, animals…, and through – for conditions or means.
But I am confused by these examples-
The doctor operates on the patient.
The operation of the patient by the doctor …
or
He was operated on by the doctor.
The operation by the doctor
Verbalform in liabilities with OF (+ Beings) / DURCH (+ average):
For Nominalisation of passive sentences always (+Agens):
When converted into passive, the rechargeable object of the active set becomes subject and subject active set with by or of introduced:
The man welcomes the woman. The woman becomes of dem Man (orn Man) welcomed. (In the case by the worse German).
Nominalization results:
The greeting of the woman by the man (or by the man) (In the case is of the worse German).
The doctor operates the patient.
Nominalization:
The operation of the patientby the doctor…
The operation of the patient of the doctor (bad German)
The dome of Peter’s Basilica was built by Michelangelo.
The construction of the dome of Peter’s Basilica by Michelangelo was a masterpiece.
The construction of the dome of Peter’s Basilica of Michelangelo was born in X.
Here are equally good, only they fit better in different contexts. (But it doesn’t matter to you.)
You have all right made. But to explain this to you, presupposes that you know with subtleties of the German language. This is not expected in your task,
In the nominalization, a verb or adjective is converted into a nomen.
Verb: Learning – Nomen: Learning
In your example, I can’t find nominalization.
He nominalized “operated”.
