Noip.com alternative with existing domain?

Hello,

I bought a Raspberry Pi 5 and would like to use a dynamic DNS service without an IP address. However, I don't want to transfer my .de domain; I want to use my existing domain instead.

Is there an alternative that I can use to do this with a free account?

You could manage your domain with Cloudflare (please just change your domain name server) and then manage your API entries.

For example, I’ll run ddclient

Is there a good tutorial for DD client on the Internet?

Certainly. Just try Google…

No, I can’t, because I set it up in OPNsense and it worked directly because the options are actually well understood.

You can also run ddclient separately with a configuration file, just read the documentation …

I’ve been using DuckDNS for this, and on my domain a CNAME created the host name.

It’s a free service.

Alternatively, I thought about making the Cloudflare API myself and setting a suitable record myself, but then I didn’t want to.

You have to set that where your domain name server is.

Somewhere you have to be able to set entries. A CNAME is simply a reference to another name, so pi.example.com -> meindynhostname. Provider.tld

No instructions are available in the docs of your host.
