Nocturnal extrasystoles out of nowhere – connection to stomach, back or stress?
Hello everyone,
I hope someone here can help me or perhaps has had a similar experience. For the past two days, I've suddenly been struggling with extrasystoles again, especially at night. It's really stressful because these "heart palpitations" regularly wake me up, and then I can hardly fall back asleep.
For months, everything was pretty quiet for me; I hardly had any symptoms and felt fine. But now it seems like every third or fourth heartbeat is a "missing beat" – and I can really feel every single one. I can also clearly see on my Apple Watch that my rhythm is out of sync. It's extremely annoying, and I wonder where this could suddenly be coming from.
Does anyone know what this is? Can something like this be triggered by stress, gastrointestinal problems, or even back tension? Or are there perhaps other triggers I should consider? I would appreciate any tips or similar experiences, especially anything that might help me get more rest at night.
I was just told at the time that the extrasystoles were harmless.
But there must be a trigger. Sometimes it's gone for months, then it suddenly comes back.
Thanks in advance for your answers!
Extrasystoles can easily be based on stress and are rarely pathological in young people. A 1 channel ECG of an Apple Watch does not replace 12 channels with the doctor.
You can introduce yourself to your family doctor. With appropriate indication, the doctor will write an EKG, if necessary a 24 hour long-term EKG is displayed for further diagnosis.
I was with the cardiologist months ago. There I did. He didn't say anything. Except that so many people have. At the Apple Watch I only saw the extrasystoles, I mean.
As soon as I stand or sit, it's as good as gone again. That's funny.
