Current Aldi Talk contract canceled, number portability to another provider now possible?

I have canceled my current Aldi Talk contract, which runs until July 13, 2024 (I canceled the extension of this contract), and would like to purchase a new contract today with number portability. This number will then be linked to the new contract when the new one starts, and the old contract will expire with a different number until the end of the contract (I no longer want to use it once the new one is activated).

Is it possible to transfer my phone number to the new provider or do I have to send a letter to Aldi Talk?

Thank you!

You need to send a waiver to E-Plus (only in writing: paper or email), then you can go to another provider at any time and take your phone number. Aldi Talk disables your Simcard on the eve of the porting date that you are notified by SMS.

It won’t work. If a contract is terminated, the call number acceptance is possible as well as always only at the end of the contract. You won’t get a new phone number assigned.
In addition, not all providers support a call number acceptance to start the contract. For some, you need to port the phone number later. Some are just starting. That’s very different.

You can’t use the old contract at Aldi talk anymore because it’s cancelled. Therefore, check whether the termination was confirmed. Otherwise, your phone number is not released for porting. A dismissal of the prepaid package alone is not yet a termination.

It is unclear what you mean by “extending the contract was terminated”. Do you have the contract with Aldi talk? Written terminated and received the termination confirmed? Or did you cancel the booked package and are now in the free base rate?

Very good, then with the outgoing porting everything is okay.
