Still pay import VAT?
Hello, I ordered something from Etsy for €40 from England and automatically paid the 19% sales tax upon purchase. I know that customs duties only apply to orders over €150, but what about import sales tax? Do I have to pay anything else when the package arrives, or was that already paid at the time of purchase? I've already read something about it, but unfortunately I don't quite understand it.
you will pay the import tax to the parcel service with surcharge. Package comes to your address.
or pay to the customs and have to pick up yourself.
if you mean the tax, it has nothing to do with it
Thanks for the answer. A friend had already ordered two times from a non-EU country, but had to pay nothing at the front door or got the parcel /the letter so or it was thrown into the mailbox. Why is that? Is there another bill?
