No new job title?

Hello everyone

Our company is undergoing restructuring, and I'm slowly being asked to take over personnel responsibility for a small team. I'm already starting to be responsible for the team, arranging meetings, and handling organizational matters.

However, my boss hasn't approached me further about a new job title and higher salary. My current job title is Assistant, just like the other colleagues whose "Team Lead" I'm now supposed to be. However, I think it's stupid if I don't stand out from them. I want it on my resume. Should I tell my boss what I want, or is that stupid? What should I do if she says no? Thanks for the advice.

Should I tell my boss what I want or is it stupid? What do you want me to do when she bows?

I want you to lead a team and represent, how should that go if you can’t even address obvious things to your boss?

Not to mention that would be a sign for me that you are inappropriate for the job, as you cannot take over enough responsibilities and enter into necessary “confrotations”.

Therefore, think about what possibilities for the new title would be, if there is no such thing and also what a salary you think is appropriate. Divided according to the current situation where you first take individual things and if you have the team officially and lead.
