No more updates for the iPhone 13?

Hello, I would like to buy the iPhone 13 but my father said that the iPhone 13 will no longer receive system updates… Is that true and if so, would that affect its use in about 1-2 years?

Good evening.

This is not true with the updates. It will be Not less than 2027 with Function– and then with Security updates ! The period is therefore still relatively long. A purchase is therefore not in the way.

My tip: If you want to use the device as long as possible (more than 5 years), buying a newer model would be advisable. For example, iPhone 15 has fallen well in price. Basically, it is an iPhone 13 with the following improvements:

  • A16 Chip
  • more powerful for camera recordings due to the 48MP (large differences are not necessarily)
  • 6GB RAM
  • Dynamic Iceland
  • USB-C connection

Conclusion: If you want to save money and can do without the improvements of iPhone 15, grab iPhone 13. Otherwise, I would recommend to the latest model or even wait until September for iPhone 16.

Best regards

Apple always supplies its Iphones with upadtes…so 5 to 6, sometimes even 7 years. Now that the IPhone 15 is up to date, you actually have a few more years.

The cell phone gets up to 2027 or longer system and security updates.
