No longer creative when writing?
Hello
I absolutely love writing stories and write every day, whenever I have time. Right now, though, I'm lacking creativity. I haven't been able to write properly for almost six months. I sit in front of a blank document and can't put a single word on paper. Before, I could always just make up words. I can't plan my current story idea because I have a huge hole in the plot and I just don't know how to fill it.
I feel like my stories used to be really creative and great, but now I'm not that creative anymore π
What should I do? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any answers π€
Hm… I also know that (I am actually doing this right now) not having the problem with plotting, but with actual implementation, i.e. writing.
What I would advise you: Take a break for the first time, find a bit to yourself, if necessary find a new connection to your idea, let them just lie something and maybe read something else or go after another hobby, just to come up with new thoughts.
That at the moment everything is going bad doesn’t mean you’ve become “bad”, it can also mean that you’ve become more demanding in terms of your ideas.
Instead of taking ALL what comes into your head you think more intensely about it, questioning also ideas in the sense of ‘fits that really, is that really something new, I can write that in my characters’ etc. etc., and that is basically very positive, because by doing this you do more with the idea, instead of ‘to force everything into the idea’ or introduce any plot lines that are just there, so that you can just fill up with it
This is probably very burdensome at the moment, but will eventually lead to your history possibly. will be better than if you had followed the first idea… or, you can write it through ‘glatter’ at the end, because you have a precise plan, instead of getting into a deep hole in a less detailed idea, because your ‘red thread’ suddenly tears off.
So what to do… give you a little time for yourself, try to let the soul dangle.
I got the idea to supplement my script one evening at 22: 30, while I discussed with my girlfriend the moral failures of any novel characters, their homosexual lecturers and the requirements of the Pyrenean dog keeping… so it can be that the inspiration just jumps you out of the ambush.
All love π
I think everyone has. Take a break and gather ideas. Maybe you have something else. Continue writing when youβre really full in flow
that’s perfectly normal. in my mind, book projects often lie in the regal for years or decades, until they come to consciousness from their own one day and are suddenly made printable in the shortest time, simply because in my consciousness the ideas are now matured and all of themselves joined together.
or also because any impulse from the outside offers the opportunity to deal with the project started and to finally put it on the market.
There is not a so-called creative break for free.

I’d create a Mind Map first. This will help you to capture all the ideas and you can’t delete such good ideas. Read books that interest you. Maybe there are other good ideas there or take a week break. Good luck!
That’s normal, don’t worry, so it’s much too often. Just sit down in peace, make music to consider the most beautiful scenarios, at least. Map your thoughts, write down what you think. And that’s what you’re gonna do.
Hope I could help:)
Thank you.
