No delivery to mailboxes, how?
We constantly receive deliveries from Amazon, for example, which are then simply stuffed into the mailbox, regardless of whether they fit. Regular mail rarely fits and usually sticks out of the mailbox.
We have already had to carry out several repairs because the Amazon delivery driver damaged the flap or the "package" could no longer be retrieved from the mailbox.
According to Amazon, we should adjust the delivery instructions. Sure, we're stupid. It clearly states: Where should we leave packages if they don't fit in your mailbox?
Amazon always says, "Provide an estimate and then get it repaired." Companies look forward to such orders and come in droves 🙂
Does anyone know the problem and maybe have the solution?
The sign (homemade) hangs in our (detached house) between the mailbox and the doorbell.
If the delivery person isn't another intellectual unicellular organism, it works quite well.
Instructions are posted on the mailbox, in three languages. None of the current Amazon delivery drivers speak any of them. We have a store here, and they can't get in.
Officially, the Post/DHL delivery drivers are not allowed to follow this instruction at all.
Solution: Specify packing station
Amazon Delivery does not deliver to packing stations
then just put something like this on your house
Parcel box with rotating box & parcel compartment, over 200 colors | Mypaketkasten.de
Nope, don't take it personally.
Then you can't order anything.
Oh dear… Another one who takes everything personally
I have another suggestion for you: flashing stripes on the floor and on the wall with arrows
Stay factual and moderate your writing. I don't want any deliveries to my mailbox, I don't need parcel boxes, packing stations, or anything else. Our store's goods entrance is exactly 3 meters from the mailbox, and the front door is 5 meters away.
YOU want your packages to be delivered properly
You don't want to have your delivery to a dump station, then set up your own parcel box and that's it
If you don't like this either, then have it delivered to an Amazon parcel station, there is also
What should I do with this answer? Why should I install a parcel box?
Just arrange a drop-off location. If that's not possible, pick it up at a station.
That would also be a possibility, but then the FS would complain later that the deliveries have disappeared *cough
Read my question again. I have a drop-off location, but they stuff almost everything into the mailbox, and if it's too big, they fold it. The station issue doesn't make sense here; we have a store exactly 3 meters from the mailbox.
