Low battery IPhone in a short time?
Hello,
I've had an iPhone 14 since around Christmas, and my battery life is really bad, even though I try to take good care of my phone. It's July, and I'm at 93%, which is really low. My old iPhone 12, which I used for about two years, was somewhere around 90%, but that's irrelevant.
As far as I know, Apple has a one-year warranty. So would it be possible for me to write or call Apple and send them my phone, and they'll replace my battery free of charge? Or am I misinformed and they don't do that at all?
Apple changes the battery free of charge, but only under certain circumstances.
According to Apple, the battery may drop to 80% capacity in 2 years, which is normal. If you get under it, you’ll have a wanker.
But then also means: You are still in the 2 years, that means you can’t say if the battery will fall to below 80%. With 90%, you’re still in the normal frame.
In the end, this means that a battery exchange will most likely cost you something.
By the way, in the 14’s Iphone series, these are probably common in comparison to relatively poor batteries. Many users have these problems with a fast-degrading battery. Can’t be done.
If the battery capacity within the one-year warranty is below 80 % you get a new battery for free.
