not gain weight nicotine withdrawal?
I want to quit smoking for good. I've already managed to quit for a few days. I'm still taking nicotine gum, but I'm very confident I'll succeed this time. I just don't want to smoke anymore.
My only fear is gaining weight. You always hear so many stories about it. I've lost 17 kg this year and finally feel good, so I just don't want to gain it back.
If I continue to watch my diet and exercise, can I maintain my weight? Or will I still gain weight because my metabolism slows down when I stop?
Please share some experiences..
there is no (more)! For over 50 years it has been scientifically proven that there is no dependence on nicotine in humans, but on the many other substances contained in tobacco smoke. (On rodents, nicotine has a search potential. Therefore, there is also a valid assumption for many decades that it would be so for humans.)
However, the effect of nicotine remains as an appetite suppressant – after the smoking stop you will have more feelings of hunger, which in many cases leads to more eating and thereby increasing.
You don’t have to. You’re gonna be hungry. You can switch to vegetables like cucumbers or carrots. In addition, I would eat flea seeds with a little jogurt and drink a lot. These springs up in the stomach and make for a few hours tired without having calories.
This is more due to the fact that as an ex-smoking one often seeks a replacement job and so many eat rubber bears or something instead of igniting the cigarettes. Nevertheless, in case of doubt, I would rather increase rather than start with the crap again.
You’re going to increase because you eat instead of smoking.
If you don’t do this and eat as before, you won’t accept.
Success 🙂
In fact, one usually increases when one stops. The smoker is more restless due to to toxins such as nicotine – and he already burns more calories.
However, as a rule, you can also easily compensate for some sport, which will also be easier for you because the pollutants are degraded on the lung bubbles.
I wish you all the best and great success
