I think it works via NFC because I just have to hold it against a surface and I can go through the entrance.

Hello, When you receive a message from WhatsApp, the name of the person who sent the message is displayed if the phone is unlocked. I have it turned on under Settings; Notifications; Show Previews; Never but the name is still in the notifications.

Ask in the store if they have an app or if the card goes into the wallet. They’ll probably know.
