New brake pads rust streaks normal?
Good evening,
I changed my brake pads about 200 kilometers ago and recently there's a rust streak on the disc. Is this okay?
Drive with foresight.
I would be grateful for answers.
Kind regards

Hello I just changed the oil in my 2006 Mercedes A-Class 150, but how do I get rid of the service indicator? Thank you for your answers.
Hello, I bought or financed an SLK in March this year for 13K, and with interest it's about 16-17K, and I want to sell it because it's too small for me. It has a warranty until March next year. My question is, if I were to sell the car for, say, 14-15 thousand euros and…
Hey guys, I'm going to take my class B driving license and wanted to know what you found more difficult about the driving test? And what tips do you have? LG Paul
Good evening, I realize that luxury cars (new cars) are generally never cheap. However, I'm interested in knowing the price (lower limit) for even getting screens for the rear seat. I mean the type of screens mounted behind the front seats. Thanks in advance for your feedback! I was thinking maybe Lexus? Do they have…
I asked my mother and she said I can do it as often as I want until I make it. Then you have one chance every month and pay 150€ a1
A friend told me that the yellow marking means the screw is self-locking. Does that mean I can't turn it? Unfortunately, I can't reach the nut behind the screw. Can I tighten it?
Are you sure you’ve got the right stuff?
It looks like these are smaller than the disc. That would explain that edge.
In some cars, smaller models fit the same brake pliers. Of course not allowed.
The workshop ordered the fittings according to key number and Hsn/TsN, I look at the fittings so they lie exactly on the disc
Then it’ll probably be because the covers haven’t been hit yet. It’s only after ~500km.
Then the rusty edge should have disappeared.
And that’s exactly why he said they went after about 500km. If you have new discs, of course, it goes much faster.
That’s bullshit.
With several of our vehicles, the brakes have recently been rebuilt. There (!) is a perfect model.
Here, new coverings were thrown onto an old pane and there the coverings no longer carry on the entire pane…
The brake disc is already needed and therefore no longer plane but these are the new linings.
200 kilometers are not much – you do not brake all the time….
A few more days, the slices are clear.
If you mean the grate on the outside at the edge of the pane and on the inside at the hub, until there the coverings do not suffice and cannot hold the area blank.

Edit: The most helpful answer is this under my comment, I have kinked
look good, slow things through
and then look again
That’s not a new brake disc, is it?
It’s really bad. You don’t have to mount a new load on it!
You won’t get the Rostrand out of here once it’s grounded in the floor.
As it is probably not generally known:
The manufacturers of the brake discs are working to emboss the minimum disc thickness into the brake disc.
You can recognize the value that “Min. TH” (Minimal Thickness = Minimum Thickness) is embossed before or behind it.
As long as this value has not yet been reached as long as the brake disc is not damaged, it has strong grooves or is covered….you can use them further….
For this reason, the manufacturer also indicates the value.
New but not yet in good condition according to workshop
No.
