New variator scooter slower?
After installing the new sports variator, the scooter is slower than with the original and constantly overheats. I've changed the weights several times, but each time it only makes a minimal difference. What could be causing this?
It is logical that the weights ensure that the response behavior, i.e. the acceleration, becomes better. This goes to the expense of the translation because the springs don’t let the weights go far, that is, it no longer reaches the maximum speed because the variomatics does not reach the final translation. It’s either one or the other, either acceleration or maximum speed.
Yes, but have increased the weights from 6.25 to 7 and it still drives only 40, original 60 with the Sport Vario and does it no matter whether with light or heavy weights not good
I don’t think you understand the functioning of a variomatic. If you use lighter weights, they move faster to the outside at the same speed, which causes a stronger acceleration. By means of the springs, the light weights are retained earlier, however, so that the belt cannot unfold its full circumference.
