If the new SSD is installed in addition to the existing hard drives, the following changes: You have a new SSD in addition to the existing hard drives and thus has more storage capacity.

If the new SSD replaces another hard drive, the data on the other hard drive with its extension is no longer available. Then you have an empty SSD.

If Windows was on the upgraded hard drive, the PC does not work first. Either you have to reinstall and set up everything (so Windows and also all other software) or you manage to mirror the data from the old hard drive to the new SSD in advance. There are software tools for this.

Serial numbers don’t change. Of course, the new SSD has a different serial number than the old hard drive. But that’s insignificant.

A “new” SSD does not contain data.

If you were to buy a used SSD, it would be all that was on it before and was not deleted.

Hm if I understand the question correctly, then everything else is identical except for the serial number for an identical SSD. Is a new (empty) plate… Data shouldn’t be on it.
