New hard drive is very slow?

The hard drive on my computer broke, and I bought a new one (SSD). Both drives are 1TB, but when I played games on my old drive, everything worked without any problems or lag. With my new hard drive, however, I can't even play the simplest games, and when I'm doing multiple things at once, my PC generally runs very slowly (which wasn't happening at all before).

What's important to note is that for some reason my computer had a laptop hard drive instead of a computer hard drive.

Does anyone know what this could be or how I could fix it?

Yeah, hard drives are slow.
For years, SSDs have been more than recommended for operating systems and gaming.

The TE has bought a new SSD and wonders about the speed of it. This is not a mechanical hard drive, even if it uses this word, which I personally do not find suitable.

Yeah. Can you read thoughts – or make sure that the questioner does not know what he writes about?

This information does not appear anywhere.

This is not a mechanical hard drive

A hard drive is IMMER mechanical. There are no others.

I’m sorry. That’s why I say:

even if he uses this word, which I personally do not find appropriate.

In addition:

Aha. Can you read thoughts

No, see TE input:

and I bought a new (ssd)

OK?
